The water heritage in Valdepeñas de Jaén

The work reflects the importance of water-related heritage in Valdepeñas de Jaén, thanks to the geography of the municipality and primary activities such as agriculture and livestock and the transformation of their production that has developed over time. Today we have an incalculable hydraulic heritage that forms part of the life of the inhabitants of the municipality. Among all this heritage we want to emphasize the Mill of Santa Ana like the best example of hydraulic patrimony in Valdepeñas de Jaén, thanks to the state of conservation that it has had and it has on the part of the relatives of this one. Hence, this work, in addition to collecting all the hydraulic heritage, a step further and propose that this mill is considered and recognized as a cultural asset, as well as all its history is the symbol of all the inhabitants of this municipality.

Cristóbal Santiago Armenteros is geboren op 11 juli 1991 in Valdepeñas de Jaén. Hij studeerde in 2016 af in Geografie en Geschiedenis aan de Universiteit van Jaén en rondde zijn opleiding af met een Master in Educatie en een andere in Cultureel Erfgoed, waaruit het huidige werk voortkomt.
