Intestinal protozoan infections at the CHNU in Fann, Dakar.

Senegal has set up programmes to control intestinal parasitosis. As part of the follow-up, we are contributing with this work on the hospital prevalence of diagnosed parasitosis.25.47% is the prevalence of intestinal protozooses that we have calculated from the 2725 patients admitted to the parasitology department of the CHNU of Fann in Dakar between January 2012 and November 2014.We therefore record encouraging figures, all the more so as the species diagnosed in the majority of cases are those considered to be low or non-pathogenic. However, the data collected and our recommendations will serve to bring us even closer to zero prevalence.

Ich kam 2009 mit meinem wissenschaftlichen Abitur, das ich auf den Komoren erworben hatte, in den Senegal. 2015 konnte ich einen professionellen Master-Abschluss "Option: Medizinische Biologie" erwerben. Nach einem Vorgeschmack auf die Berufswelt führte mich meine Leidenschaft für die Biologie dazu, mich 2019 für einen Masterstudiengang in Forschung einzuschreiben. Master-Abschluss, der mir, so hoffe ich, weitere Projekte erleichtern wird.
